Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) improves the energetic well-being and general health of patients. Since its beginning, thousands of years ago, this technique has evolved constantly, and at present, it enables practitioners to formulate a very precise diagnosis of a patient energetic state. TCM treats the underlying causes leading to the manifestation of pathological symptoms, regulating a variety of organic systems including the digestive system, the cardiac system, the genitourinary system, the respiratory system, the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system.

TCM therapy enhances the body ability to regulate and re-establish a smooth flow of energy in the treated patients, thereby promoting the restoration of a healthy state.

Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a healing technique proper to traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). The method consists in introducing very thin needles at specific points on the body surface in order to rebalance energy disturbances caused by incumbent pathologies. The needling is painless and, by harmonizing the flow of energy, aims at regulating the physiological functions as well as favoring the emotional wellbeing of the treated patients.

In traditional Chinese Medicine the diagnostic goal consists in the determination of the underlying energy disturbance (pattern of disharmony) responsible for the manifestation of symptoms.

The diagnosis relies on:

  • motive for consultation
  • past medical history
  • observation of the patient appearance (tongue examination, skin, eyes)
  • palpation (pulse diagnosis according to TCM pulsology) and  determination of energy imbalance along the meridians and tension areas.
  • holistic evaluation of  the different organic systems such as the digestive, respiratory, and nervous system, sleep patterns,….

Once the diagnosis is completed, a treatment protocol is established consisting of acupuncture as well as other therapeutic techniques including Tui na (a manipulative therapy based on massage, acupressure and digitopuncture), cupping and moxibustion (the application of heat to the needles or directly to body parts). In some cases, pharmacopedic treatment is also undertaken.

Each acupuncture session lasts 60 minutes and costs 100.-

Massage & Reflexology

According to reflexology, our organs and physiological systems project along nervous and energetic pathways onto other parts of our bodies including our head, hands, feet and ears. Thus, massaging these reflex areas stimulates the corresponding organs and physiological systems. Reflexology is a collection of precise massage techniques for these very specific areas.

Reflexology treatment promotes the flow of energy among the different organs and systems, stimulates energy deficient areas and thus regulates our organic function as well as our emotional wellbeing.

In reflexology, a diagnosis consists in the determination of the underlying energy disturbance responsible for the manifestation of symptoms.

The diagnosis relies on:

After the diagnosis is established the conditions are treated with reflexology. In some cases, pharmacopedic support is also provided.

Reflexology/massage sessions last 60 minutes and cost 100.-CHF
